A 6-week course modeled on the military's boot camp, but with instructors that encourage--not humiliate. This class is intense but geared toward all fitness levels, from couch potato to tri-athlete! Participants can expect to rapidly slim down, tone up, and build their cardiovascular endurance. The end of the program is marked with a celebration for those who have stuck it out.

Santa’s reindeer have been busy dropping candy canes in Kirkwood Park! Everyone will get a goodie bag and have an opportunity to snap a picture with Santa! Come early to decorate a hunting bag. This class is geared towards beginners as well as colored pencil enthusiasts. Suggested materials include Prismacolor colored pencils - set of 48 or larger, Strathmore 400 series Bristol vellum surface sketch paper, kneaded eraser and a pencil sharpener. Regular attendance is encouraged.
Classes are held every Friday 1-3:30p.m.

4th Annual Kirkwood Spooktacular, is taking place on October 29th at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center. This family-friendly "Trunk or Treat" event provides a wonderful opportunity for kids to showcase their Halloween costumes while strolling through a festive candy walk.
During the candy stroll, local businesses and organizations have the chance to engage with the community by distributing candy and promotional materials in a fun and interactive setting. If you would like to be a vendor please sign up below.

Event Description:
Dress up in your Halloween best and join us for a candy stroll at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center. Make sure to bring your own candy bag to collect lots of sweet treats! Free event, All ages welcome. Sign up today to be a vendor! Vendors can decorate their vehicles and hand out flyers and well as candy. Come and celebrate the winter season with Kirkwood Parks & Recreation at the Hot Coco Fun Run held in Kirkwood Park! All participants, ages 6-15 years old, will receive a warm cup of hot cocoa as they complete the 1 mile loop run which will begin at 11:10 am. The first three participants to complete the course will receive a special award. This is a rain or shine event.

Increase the range of motion in your muscles and joints through specialized lengthening and stretching techniques designed to help release muscle tension, decrease stress and enhance coordination. Bring a towel and mat.

This low-impact exercise class aims to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. Pilates moves tend to target the core, although the exercises work other areas of your body as well. Bring a mat to class.
