Generally covers the following moves and skills: Entry level class for 4-6 year olds (Pre K) with no experience. Sit and stand up with skates (on and off ice), march in place, skate forward (8-10 steps), skate then glide on two feet with ankles upright, dip in place.

Generally covers the following moves and skills: Skate followed by a long glide, dip while moving, two-foot hop, forward swizzles (2-3 in a row), forward stop, backward wiggles (6 in a row), beginning 1-foot glide.

Generally covers the following moves and skills: Forward skating width of rink, forward one-foot glide (ankle height, hold for 3+ seconds), forward swizzles (4+ in a row), forward stop with skid, forward two-foot curves, backwards skating with back stop, backwards swizzles (2-3 in a row), beginning backwards 1-foot glide, identify edges.

Hockey 1: (Ages 6-12) Forward skating with full strides, forward one foot glides, backward swizzles, backward c-cuts, two foot tight turns, introduction to hockey stops, forward one foot swizzles, crossovers, pivots (forward to backwards and backwards to forward), quick starts. Full hockey equipment recommended for this class. No sticks.

Fast paced activities designed to be fun while teaching the major fundamental skills and disciplines of the martial arts. Additional fees for uniform ($20) & annual AAU membership ($22) apply. Meets at Kirkwood Community Center.

A 6-week course modeled on the military's boot camp, but with instructors that encourage--not humiliate. This class is intense but geared toward all fitness levels, from couch potato to tri-athlete! Participants can expect to rapidly slim down, tone up, and build their cardiovascular endurance. The end of the program is marked with a celebration for those who have stuck it out.

Learn self-defense, self-confidence and self-control in a friendly atmosphere in this 12-week class. Additional fees for uniforms ($20-$25 depending on size) and annual AAU membership ($22) apply. Meets at Kirkwood Community Center. Ages 10 to Adult.

Santa’s reindeer have been busy dropping candy canes in Kirkwood Park! Everyone will get a goodie bag and have an opportunity to snap a picture with Santa! Come early to decorate a hunting bag. Check-in begins at 9:30 am. Candy Cane Hunt begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. Ages 2-10. Separate hunting areas for ages 2-4 and 5-10. This is a rain or shine event.
