The Kirkwood Performing Arts Center invites local businesses to partner with us for a free Route 66 community event on Sunday, February 8 in the Ross Family Theatre titled Director's Cut - Show Me 66: Main Street Through St. Louis.


The afternoon program features Missouri Historical Society historian and director, Andrew Wanko, documentary excerpts, conversation, and live music by Emily Wallace, celebrating Route 66’s impact on Kirkwood, St. Louis, and Missouri.

A limited number of informational tables will be available in the main lobby for businesses connected to Route 66, Kirkwood history, travel, culture, preservation, or community placemaking.

We are prepared to welcome 530 attendees!

Participation details
• One six foot table per business
• Businesses provide their own tablecloth
• Setup before doors open and breakdown after the event (about 12pm)
• $40 table fee to help offset staffing and facility costs

Space is limited. Participation will be confirmed based on alignment with the event.

Make a splash at Flip Flop Fridays, an after‑hours pool party for kids of all ages packed with music, games, and prizes. Kids 11 and under must bring their favorite adult to join in the fun. Chill in the shallow end, jump into games, or hang out in the dry zone with friends. Space is limited, so grab your crew, your swimsuit, and register early!

Join Flip Flop Fridays on June 26, July 24, and August 7 from 7:30–9:30 p.m.—three epic pool nights you won’t want to miss. Pre‑register to save: Residents $20, Non‑Residents $25, and Season Pass holders get a 50% discount; day‑of admission is $25 for everyone.

Ages 7-14. Looking to have a blast to kick off your weekend? We've got an exciting plan for you! Join us at the community center for a pizza party, followed by a flashlight dance party in the park, and an adventurous egg hunt in Kirkwood Park under the night sky. This outdoor event is held rain or shine, so make sure to dress accordingly and bring a flashlight, along with a basket or bag. Please note that this is a drop-off program. Max of 50 kids. Please pre-register by 3/30 at Noon.

Enjoy a night under the stars at Kirkwood Park with your friends and family! Activities will include a bonfire, games, owl prowl hike, camp songs and more! Families will need to provide their own tent and sleeping materials. (bring your own food and beverage if you'd like; no glass bottles please). Check-in and tent setup begins at 5 p.m. Dinner and activities begin at 6 p.m. Lights out at 10 p.m. Breakfast 7-8 a.m. Tents must be cleared out by 9 a.m. Pre Registration is required by 5/5.

Ages 3-10: Dads, grandpas, uncles, or guardians, grab your dancing shoes and bring your little sweethearts to our annual Valentine’s dance. Visit our dessert bar and photo booth area, and enjoy a visit from a very special singing guest! Be sure to register before spots fill up! (both adult and children need to register)

All Ages. It's a dog egg hunt, with a scavenger hunt twist! Your personalized doggie bag, along with some treats hidden in eggs, will be hidden in Fillmore Park. Arrive anytime between 6:00 and 6:30 pm to sniff out your treat bag and socialize with other dogs, and snap a photo with your pup at our photo-op area. Pre-registration required by 3/25 at Noon.

Travel through time—one bingo square at a time! Join us for a high-energy, nostalgia-filled game night as we journey through the decades from the swingin’ 1940s to the pop-filled 2000s. Each round of bingo will spotlight a different decade, featuring iconic music, memorable moments, vintage trends, and pop culture favorites. Price includes 8 themed rounds, 50/50 drawings, and a gift basket raffle! Please register by 3/2 at noon.

Grab your friends and join us for Summer Lovin’ Bingo—a relaxed, feel-good night full of summer vibes and word bingo fun! Dress in your favorite summer-inspired look and enjoy a night of laughs, luck, and laid-back fun. Feel free to bring your own food and adult beverages. Doors open at 6:10 p.m. Your registration includes eight themed rounds of bingo, door prizes, 50/50 drawings, and a summer raffle basket.

Kirkwood residents can haul down the clutter from their attics and treasures from their garages for the Kirkwood Rummage Sale. The rummage sale will be held at the Kirkwood Recreation Center’s Gymnasium on February 7th, 2026, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. All of the usual rummage sale items can be found throughout the sale as well as some unique finds. There is sure to be a treasure with your name on it! Each applicant will only receive one space, register today before space runs out!

Each booth space will only receive a 10' X 10' space. Tables and chairs are self serve, and a layout of the gym will be sent out the week of the event for the assigned spaces.
